Louisiana Department of Insurance

The Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) performs the important task of regulating insurance providers, clearinghouses, health care providers and independent agents.  The agency desired a security framework for managing company access to its tax database.

Sparkhound developed the security framework for LDI web services architecture using the Microsoft .NET platform and SQL Server database.  The open framework also served as a foundation for planning, developing and updating the system with future modules. These modules which include a contact database, tax forms, and statistics reporting are used for reporting, tax collection and information dispersal.

In conjunction with Mayer & Associates, Sparkhound also provides network design, system monitoring, backup management, and critical support for LDI's enterprise-level infrastructure.
