Senior Business Consultant

Sparkhound is seeking qualified candidates for its Senior Business Consultant role assigned to enterprise and government accounts. The person in this role will be responsible for:

·         Working with CIO / IT Director level clients to design specific enterprise-level IT solutions to address recognized business problems. This includes determining project requirements; designing detailed technical solutions; defining, assembling, and scheduling required service resources; confirming engagement costs; defining service measurements.

·         Achieve client objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

·         Maintaining existing relationships with designated clients; Resolving issues by obtaining and coordinating reaction among Sparkhound’s service areas

·         Increasing revenue by recognizing/recommending new and additional services to client; presenting cost-benefit analysis.

·         Managing the technical strategy of project opportunities and directing Sparkhound’s response in order to maximize successful winning of business.

 

This position is primarily a business and IT consulting role that has some sales-related duties attached to it. Other duties include overall account management and quality assurance activities to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess:

ü   Strong IT consulting, system design, and technical skills

ü   Significant “hands on” implementation experience in software development

ü   Ability to establish genuine and long-term “peer” relationships with CIOs and IT Directors

ü   Understanding of high-level project management techniques

ü   Effective writing, presentation, and other communications skills

 

This position requires a self-starter with strong leadership skills. Three to five years experience in a enterprise-level consulting role is required.

 
 
 
Application Developer (Consultant)

Sparkhound is seeking professional, assertive top performers who want to be part of an energetic, innovative and successful team.

Job Summary
We are seeking application developers with 2 or more years of development experience. This position requires the flexibility to fill one or many roles in development projects as our team participates in various stages of small, medium, and large scale projects abiding by project management methodologies.

Qualification Summary
Candidates will have a background in business application development with strong communication skills and an understanding of MS Windows and Web development platforms, specifically the MS .NET (C#, VB.NET) and SQL Server platforms. Candidates are required to have a four-year degree (or work experience equivalent) and 2+ years .NET and SQL Server programming experience. 3+ years of relevant work experience is desired. Knowledge of n-tier distributed architectures and systems life cycle development are desired.
