Sparkhound Announces New Vice President of Managed Services

Baton Rouge, La.  – Sparkhound Inc. has recently hired Chris Sittig as its new Vice President of Managed Services to further strengthen its executive management team and Managed Services offering. In his new position, Chris will lead Sparkhound's national managed services division which provides standardized IT services for customers' infrastructure and applications around the U.S.

"With 20 years in the IT industry, Chris's experience and insight will be an immense asset to our Managed Services offering," said Shawn Usher, president and CEO of Sparkhound. "Having worked with clients in the security, banking, healthcare, nuclear and federal government sectors, Chris understands how to build strong customer relationship experiences for each client, regardless of the industry, size or challenge."

Before joining Sparkhound, Chris ran large IT Operation Centers for companies such as Amedisys Home Health & Hospice, where he was Vice President of IT Infrastructure, and The Shaw Group (now, CB&I) in the capacity of Director of IT Infrastructure. Chris' technical experience includes setting up a world-wide communications network in Iraq, China, Europe and Canada; as well as leading and running two global Help Desk for an offshore engineering and IT data center in India. Most recently, Chris served as CISCO's Systems Engineer for the Dallas/Fort Worth region.

Chris joins new Chief Operating Officer, Patrick Thompson; Chief Administrative Officer, Noah Boudreaux; General Manager - Dallas, Rob Ward, and General Manager - Houston, Tommy Mann, who were all hired as part of Sparkhound's corporate "Build for Scale" vision, which is focused on accelerating the company's expansion and long-term growth. Additionally, Sparkhound expanded its Baton Rouge presence this past spring, opening a fourth office to accommodate its Managed Services and corporate growth needs.

Sparkhound Managed Services was created to support the industry trend of outsourcing standardized IT services with an ITIL-certified team that provides 24-hour service desk, monitoring, management and problem resolution for their IT systems. Today, businesses can engage Sparkhound Managed Services for Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Service Desk and custom application enhancements.  Offerings in the near future include Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Citrix and Amazon Web Services.
