Hello. Welcome to Sparkhound.

We're the IT services company with the semi-serious name and the dead-serious mission: to make a meaningful impact on every Sparkhound client's business. And we do it with an amazing team of collaborative, outcome-driven pros who bring a potent mix of thought, tools and trust to create lasting value in your IT investment.

Success is our Platform.

At Sparkhound, your business goals and challenges inspire us to create transformative solutions, not to check a box on a task list or give you what any other IT firm could. We don't consider our job done until our clients reach agreed-upon success measures. We aren't owned by — or contractually bound to — any particular IT product or vendor, which gives us limitless flexibility to do standout work. And we fully embrace the Plan/Build/Run methodology to deliver each of our comprehensive IT services.

What's in our name?

It's pretty simple, really. The SPARK represents ideas and technology — the innovative ways we help deliver meaningful impact for our clients.

Inspired by the beloved bloodhound, HOUND is all about our client loyalty, humble nature and tireless quest for the most powerful and efficient ways to execute those ideas.

A Brief History

  • 1998

Shawn Usher started Sparkhound in 1998 to redefine how companies use technology to solve business problems. Since then, we've remained fiercely committed to making an impact on our clients' organizations, regardless of size, with the same high standards of service.

  • 2009

After operating from our Baton Rouge headquarters for 11 years, we opened a Houston office in 2009 to give the Texas business market more of the Sparkhound magic.

  • 2011

In 2011, we found ourselves with new Dallas/Ft. Worth clients and not enough desks for our growing team, so we opened our third office there.

  • 2016

And in 2016, growing regional interest in what we do landed us in Birmingham, Alabama, home to Sparkhound office number four.

100% Principled

Our core values define the way Sparkies approach every aspect of what we do. We always strive to:

  • Be "go-to" people authentic, humble, honest, positive and strategic; always beginning with the end in mind

  • Work as one team always in this together, harnessing our collective power to create impactful outcomes

  • Create value with a curious, consulting mindset that breeds opportunities for improvement and growth

  • Put clients first by earning and keeping their trust, always having their back, listening intently and being willing to adapt

  • Have fun because life's too short to take yourself too seriously!

Sparkhound Foundation

The desire to make a difference outside of work is part of Sparkhound's DNA. To formalize our ongoing commitment, we established the Sparkhound Foundation in 2010 as a nonprofit charitable organization focused on promoting happier, smarter, safer and healthier communities.

The Foundation provides Sparkhound employees with an organized channel for giving back, whether we're walking the Walk to Remember for Alzheimer's Association or helping with a Boys Hope Girls Hope fundraiser. And it's a great way for us to come together as a team to grow the impact we have on causes close to our hearts.
